How to change the background of an existing section

As a website builder designed for beginners, Aphyo offers intuitive tools that make it easy to personalize various elements of your site, including the background of existing sections. Whether you want to enhance the visual appeal, align with your brand's color scheme, or update your site's look, changing the background can have a significant impact. Here’s how you do it.  
  1. From the section toolbar choose edit section (the pencil)

  1. The Section Settings editor will open. 
  2. You can change the background color or image, set an overlay opacity, set an image focal point or choose the background width from the same editor. The overlay opacity becomes active only if there is a background color selected. It creates a filter effect over the image, allowing you to have backgrounds that align with your brand's color scheme.

Change the background color

  1. To change the background color, make sure the background color checkbox is checked and the background image is unchecked, then click the color pill
  2. The Brand colors menu will open, allowing you to choose a color aligned with your brand identity or a custom one.
  3. Click on the color you want. You will immediately see it as the background of your section.



Change the background image

  1. To change the background image, make sure the background image checkbox is checked, then click on Change

  1. The Asset Collection will open
  2. You can choose an image from your previously uploaded items, upload a new one from your computer or choose one from the Unsplash collection of free images.
  3. After you have selected the image you want as a background, click on Add to page

  1. Your background is now set.

Change the image's focal point

  1. Use the black dot which appears on the image in the editor to set the image's focal point. Click on the image to change the focal point and set the central focus area.
